Lise was first elected in 2022 and Re-elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as an Ontario NDP Member of Provincial Parliament in February of 2025.
MPP Vaugeois moved to Thunder Bay in 1991 to take a position with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. She completed her PhD in Education at the University of Toronto and since 2013 has been an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. In 2014 she took on the directorship of the Gentlemen of Harmony, a men’s acapella chorus.
