Stiles and fellow Opposition leaders ask Auditor to assess financial and environmental impacts of Ford’s Greenbelt scheme

QUEEN’S PARK — Incoming Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles has written a joint letter to the Auditor General (AG) with Interim Liberal Leader John Fraser and Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner requesting that the AG conduct both a value-for-money audit and environmental impact assessment of the government’s decision to remove lands from the Greenbelt.

Stiles first wrote to the Auditor General in November asking for an investigation into how much property owners stand to benefit from Doug Ford’s plan to remove thousands of acres from the Greenbelt.
